Kohli returns to India squad for the second Test against New Zealand?

While the departure of Virat Kohli from the international matches seemed to be a done deal after the unfortunate T20 World Cup, the Cheeku began preparing to participate in the second Test against New Zealand.

The former captain was noted at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) for four days, passionately training. According to the sources, Kohli asked the BCCI to prepare for the Test in the CCI, and they allowed it.

Moreover, Virat was training with Sanjay Bangar – the former Indian batting coach and teams all-rounder when he was a player. All these facts are facilitated by the absence of key experienced players in the squad during the first Test that began yesterday. Nonetheless, India went to the second day with an astonishing result of 339/8.

The second Test against New Zealand will be played in Mumbai, at the Wankhede Stadium, which is an iconic place for the Cheeku. Five years ago, he scored a double-century here.
