RR outplayed RCB on April 26

On Tuesday, the IPL season 2022 continued with the battle between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Both teams were in the leading group and had 10 points each, so the winner could breathe with a bit more freedom.

The Royals opened the game batting, and their attempt can hardly be named super successful. The openers didn’t get even 10 runs, and only Parag delivered a half-century (56 from 31), which allowed RR to finish at a dangerous point of 144 for eight.

While the situation for RCB looked rather prospective, they actually failed to respond. Only two batters found 10+ runs with a strike rate of 100+, which meant a low scorecard for the Challengers. All in all, they finished their batting attempt in the 19th over and finalised the score at 115 for 10.

This victory helped Rajasthan Royals to take the leading spot in the table with 12 points, but Gujarat Titans have a game in hand and the same amount of points. Royal Challengers Bangalore, with two defeats in a row, now look struggling, but their five victories in eight games is a good platform for the playoff ticket battle in the second half of the season.
