Tamil Nadu claimed Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy just from the hand of Karnataka

Although there was a tie in the playoffs between Bengal and Karnataka (with the victory in the Super Over); this time, the latter was unlucky at the very end of the game. In the last ball, Tamil Nadu needed five to win the trophy, but they were able to score a six!

Tamil Nadu, the owner of the cup in the previous season, won the toss and decided to bowl first. Their bowlers found seven wickets but allowed Karnataka to score 151 runs – a quite promising result.

The second innings started quite slowly for Tamil Nadu, as they scored slightly more than half a century in 7 overs. Riding like on the roller coaster, Tamil Nadu came to the last over with a gap of 16 runs.

However, all the intrigue and drama was left for the last ball. Karnataka had to protect a 4-ball gap against the unstable batters of the opponent. But Shahrukh Khan has found the possibility to send the ball over the horizon and deliver a victory. Epic, dramatic, astonishing – this final deserves even more epithets and compliments.
