T20 World Cup semifinals determined

Even before the last match of the Super 12 group stage is played, the semifinalists are known. Both groups were interesting to watch due to the tight battle for playoff spots. Thus, England and Australia claimed 8 points each, but South Africa took four wins. As these teams won and lost to each other, the final disposition was decided with a run-rate, which was a bit lower for the Proteas.

The second group was also pretty close to the run rate rule, but Afghanistan couldn’t overcome New Zealand yesterday. It means that today’s match between India and Namibia has no sense, as both Asian teams have at least two losses.
