India smashed New Zealand in the 2nd Test

As Indians felt they were stolen a win in the first Test due to light issues, they decided not to take risks in the second game. A massive 325 & 276 runs were batted during their innings, with only 62 & 167 by New Zealand with no chances to win.

The first innings showed that this game would have another scenario. In 110 overs, the hosts scored a persuasive 325 runs with an astonishing 150 by Agarwal only. For the Kiwis, the best individual performance was 17 runs, while their batting opportunity lasted only 29 overs where they lost all wickets.

The second half of the match seemed to be a formality, but Indians didn’t want to make it nervous in any aspect. Crucial 276 runs in 70 overs turned the situation for the guests into desperate, with 539 points to chase. New Zealand improved the result of their first innings, but not so much. Only 167 runs were scored in 57 overs to finish the second Test with a confident 372-run victory.

Now India can prepare for the great tour to South Africa if the covid splash isn’t an issue. The opening duels are planned in Test format, so the team looks well-prepared for them.
