IPL 2022: 4th-weekend results

The strongest league in the cricket world continues, and the teams have already passed a four-week distance in the IPL 2022. Some of the teams continue to surprise, while most of the participants are in the tough race for playoffs.

On Friday, the fifth game in the league was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders. Although the KKR had two points more than their opponents, they scored only 175 for eight during their batting order. However, it was a too easy score to chase for SRH, who claimed the needed 176 with only three wickets lost and made it in 17.5 overs.

On Saturday, the first game was between the newcomers from Lucknow and the most titled team from Mumbai. However, MI continued their losing streak, which now is six games. And while the response for Sunrisers Hyderabad looked like an easy game, their batters had to be focused enough to score a needed 152 in 18.5 overs, losing three wickets.

The closing game for Sunday was another clash between newcomers (Gujarat Titans) and a successful franchise (Chennai Super Kings). And this time, a more experienced team failed, also a few balls from their second victory. Thus, CSK scored 169 for five, while GT responded with 170 for seven, leaving only one ball in the game. Moreover, the Titans chased their opponent in the last three overs, scoring crucial 48 runs from 17 balls. It allowed GT to take the top spot with 10 points in six games, while CSK had only two in the same amount of matches.]

On Monday, Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders were playing for the fourth victory and the ability to join the leading group. RR opened the game with batting and made it great, bringing 217 to five on the scoreboard, with an outstanding 103 from Buttler alone. Although having an almost impossible task, KKR almost made a comeback as they had a 10-point gap before the last over. However, they lost two wickets in only four balls and stopped at 210 for ten, showing decent batting. It left KKR with six points, while RR joined a leading group with eight.
