A few days before the IPL started in 2022, tectonic changes were announced in the Chennai Super Kings franchise. The team’s leader and captain for 12 years, legendary MS Dhoni, steps down as the skipper.
A 40-year-old wicketkeeper and medium batter stays in the team but will give the ruling duties to Ravindra Jadeja – another man with a great history for CSK.
With eight years in the franchise, Jadeja was retained by CSK for the upcoming IPL season. The all-rounder has won the IPL title with the Chennai-based squad in 2018 and 2021.
MS Dhoni is going to continue his performance in the IPL for CSK, where he spent 12 years and was the captain in all four wins in the league. With 204 games as a skipper, Thala is regarded as one of the best captains in the IPL. Want to know more about cricket and don’t miss the important news?
