MS Dhoni Gives CSK’s Captaincy to Jadeja

A few days before the IPL started in 2022, tectonic changes were announced in the Chennai Super Kings franchise. The team’s leader and captain for 12 years, legendary MS Dhoni, steps down as the skipper.

A 40-year-old wicketkeeper and medium batter stays in the team but will give the ruling duties to Ravindra Jadeja – another man with a great history for CSK.

With eight years in the franchise, Jadeja was retained by CSK for the upcoming IPL season. The all-rounder has won the IPL title with the Chennai-based squad in 2018 and 2021.
