Ben Stokes is going to miss the upcoming IPL season

The all-rounder from England, Ben Stokes, announced his absence at the upcoming auction and IPL season 2022. The decisions came after the thoughts about the Test clash between England and New Zealand, which is planned for the early June dates.

Stokes doesn’t want to be among the players who will be forced to leave the top T20 competition before the decisive matches. He wants to prepare better for the games against the principal rival to return respect to the English Test squad after an astonishing loss in Australia.

Stokes was an MVP five years ago in the IPL when played under the flags of RPS. In 2018, it made him the most costly player with a contract for almost $1.5 million offered by RR. However, the last season failed as he got injured in the first IPL game, and it seems not fully recovered after that incident. Stokes became the second Englishman to announce his absence for the upcoming season after Root. At the same time, another four English players (Morgan, Pope, Livingstone, and Bairstow) are in doubt of joining IPL’s auction. Among the notable British names that were confirmed for participating in the league are Buttler (RR) and Ali (CSK), which were saved by the teams.
