India beats South Africa in the 1st Test
India showed enough mastery to overcome the Proteas in the first Test matchup. The major advantage that was gained on the third day allowed the Men in Blue to finish the game without notable chances for the hosts.
At the end of the 3rd day, the guests gained a crucial score as they protected their 327 runs, allowing South Africa to score only 197 in their first innings. While the number of runs by guests wasn’t immense, their bowlers showed that the Proteas would be gaining runs with crucial problems.

The second innings by the sides were not so great, and India scored only 174 runs. However, the bowlers of the guests stopped the South African run on a quite similar point – 191. It meant the victory of India by 113 runs and a good start for the team in the away Test series. The 2nd game will start in the new year, on January 3.
