India named the squad for the South Africa tour

Right after hosting South Africa named the squad for the series against India, the latter also announced the list of cricket players that will visit the country.

Quite predictably, the squad will be led by Virat Kohli during Tests with Rohit Sharma as the vice-captain. At the same time, Rohit will lead the team in the ODIs and T20Is against the Proteas. Unfortunate injuries poisoned the trip for Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shubman Gill, and Rahul Chahar.

After all, India’s Test squad looks as follows: Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma (vc), KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Jayant Yadav, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wk), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), R Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohd. Shami, Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur, and Md. Siraj.

The standby list at the moment consists of Navdeep Saini, Saurabh Kumar, Arzan Nagwaswalla, and Deepak Chahar.
